Why the version 1.13 is not in the ChangeLog ?
January 24th, 2009 at 6:09 pm
It will be.
January 25th, 2009 at 7:55 pm
VERY happy with these changes
dunno how many i invoced personally but yes
The save as you go, really good since mine crashes more and more as the custom level gets to more than 1500
The search bar, technically im gonna say my idea
whether it was thought of previously or not
This mod alone has significant changes compared to the others, just a really worthwhile one
Keep up the great work

When I downloaded it,it said that the zip file could not be saved to my desktop. Also it said that either it was damaged or something else,so I’m downloading it again.

I have a mac computer. Whenever I try to install mbp the installer quits. *sigh*
February 22nd, 2009 at 2:15 am
Hey thar, Buddy. I’m a big MBG fan, and I installed your mod with great glee, only to be thwarted by it not working. It’s installed correctly, and patched correctly. The issue is graphical. Within a few seconds of loading the game up, the graphics gets… Stabby… on the sides… Like horizontal lines of graphic errors coming in. It’s disappointing. Any ideas?
February 22nd, 2009 at 4:20 pm
@carbine: This is known, and will be fixed
@Josh: Is there any graphical glitches on the interiors, or just the items?
@neonshadow: Can you please give me a bit more information than just “it’s not working”?
February 24th, 2009 at 9:55 pm
phil i use mac OS X so i still gotta wait but still you and your crew are GENUIS MBP is like the best thing thats happened to planet e.a.r.t.h
March 1st, 2009 at 1:35 pm
Is it possible to make MBP compatible with Xbox 360 controllers?
March 1st, 2009 at 4:45 pm
Yes, it is. You can open up the console by hitting the ~ key, then type in “enableJoystick();” without the quotes. If this doesn’t work, ask Matan on the Marble Blast forums about it as he knows all about it.
March 2nd, 2009 at 6:14 pm
Use xpadder or JoyToKey, with the latter being more recommended by some.

Cheers
Worked a treat. Although not for the menus. But that’s not an issue in the slightest.
March 4th, 2009 at 8:42 pm
GREAT! now could you make one for mac?
March 5th, 2009 at 8:47 am
Why do I need to?
I actually just stumbled across a quite nice converter called ControllerMate. You can download it from: http://www.orderedbytes.com/controllermate
It might look confusing at first, but once you play around with it, you’ll start to get the hang of it. Well, I did anyway.
Good luck!
March 8th, 2009 at 11:46 am
Are you ever going to make a mac version
March 8th, 2009 at 11:59 am
Did you mean the converter will make MarbleBlast Platinum a mac application?
Awesome!
March 8th, 2009 at 12:00 pm
Actually, on the site, it didn’t say anything about being a converter.
March 8th, 2009 at 12:00 pm
Actually, on the controllermate site, it didn’t say anything about being a converter.
March 8th, 2009 at 5:08 pm
Yeah, sorry, it doesn’t convert the PC version to Mac. My apologies.
It’s for people who want to use their Joystick with the Mac version of Marble Blast Platinum.
We do currently have a Mac version, which is version 1.12. The next version will probably be 1.13a, or the next major update.
March 10th, 2009 at 9:22 pm
hey phil, any mac yet???
March 10th, 2009 at 9:26 pm
phil, my “just not working” is where it says “level 0 “NO LEVEL PICTURE!”….thats the problem (with 1.12)
March 10th, 2009 at 9:28 pm
yeah phil, i have the same same as neon with 1.12 …
March 10th, 2009 at 11:06 pm
Silver, no, not yet. Download version 1.12 for now.
Neonshadow, do the menus look like Marble Blast Platinum? I just want to know how well the mod installed for you.
March 11th, 2009 at 4:48 pm
Everyone- 1.12 is mainly leaderboards fixes/changes. There really is no reason for a mac version of it.
March 17th, 2009 at 3:05 pm
Will the LeaderBoard be one day available for mac?
March 19th, 2009 at 8:05 pm
Possibly. Don’t get your hopes up, though, as its about a 1% chance.
March 20th, 2009 at 9:30 pm
I downloaded 1.13a for Windows XP and when i go to the leader boards it says “invalid game data” and complains about Loading.gui.cso or whatever it was called, I dont know what to do other then reinstall,
I updated from 1.10
March 24th, 2009 at 6:25 am
I found a bug!!
Excalibur has NO bounds!!
April 2nd, 2009 at 7:36 pm
Well it looks like everythings good problems: dosent load tip of the day, when i go to “play it says “level 0 “NO LEVEL PICTURE!”",when i play lvel 0 it doesent load everthing elses is fine. (i read all 40 pgs of manuel)
April 2nd, 2009 at 7:38 pm
Excalbur has no bounds? weird
April 2nd, 2009 at 7:39 pm
everything is normal beside “level 0 no level picture” and no tip of the day
April 3rd, 2009 at 8:04 am
I am not exactly sure, neon, I know that something must have went wrong during installation but I don’t know the exact problem. I would recommend asking Perishingflames as he is in charge of the Mac installer. You can email him at:
pf (at symbol) perishingflames (dot) (com)
April 5th, 2009 at 11:01 am
Neon,
If you are on a mac, go into your account library and delete the folder “MarbleBlast”.
If that doesn’t work, sorry.
If you are on a PC, no idea.
Also very sorry.
April 5th, 2009 at 11:04 am
EDIT: The same thing happened to me when I played MBG after installing MBP.
This is what solved it. You will not have the levels you have beaten still unlocked though.
April 5th, 2009 at 1:51 pm
i DONT care for the mbg levels i do care for the mbp ones (unless you count the mbg custome(some))
April 5th, 2009 at 1:59 pm
oh and how do you move the your music into mbp phil?
April 6th, 2009 at 5:54 pm
No, that isn’t what I meant. I just mean that playing the original MBG after installing marble blast platinum is one thing that makes it say level 0. Then you will be able to play the MBP levels.
April 6th, 2009 at 5:54 pm
If you delete the MarbleBlast folder that is.
April 6th, 2009 at 8:49 pm
ill try
NOTICE:but level 0 doesent load
April 7th, 2009 at 1:31 am
@ Neon regarding the music: I recommend downloading Audacity, then put your favourite music into it, and export it as .ogg format.
Then copy the exports over to your Marble Blast application, then marble/data/sound. And you will be able to select the song in-game.
April 10th, 2009 at 7:07 am
it works-BUT sometimes it says level 0 no level picture and other times it is normal and it works why is that bug? :/
April 10th, 2009 at 8:44 am
So you’re saying that it works sometimes, and it doesn’t work sometimes? That’s really odd! I have no idea how that could be happening.. :S
April 14th, 2009 at 7:11 pm
I have 2 problems, the time counter starts off as the updated font, but then reverts to the mbp 1.0 font which, no offence, looks way cruddier. I WANT CONSISTANCY. Also it when i go on the leader boards it screams at me and says Modified file
common/ui/savefiledlg.gui.dso
PLZ HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
btw new music rocks
April 14th, 2009 at 8:13 pm
Known bug, we’ll see into it but doubt it will be fixed.
Anyway, there won’t be 1.13/1.13a for Mac, but they will get the next patch that is in the works.
April 16th, 2009 at 10:07 pm
on the bar i can tell if mbp works or not if when i start it it Auto force-quits it does work when it dosent auto foce quit it dosent work. XD
April 21st, 2009 at 6:58 pm
ok switchen to windows XP vista: i first installed it on my windows XP once i finish installing it all i can do ( even in all programs) all it says is that i can run the prefrence converter.. mac:aw no 1.13 for mac
May 5th, 2009 at 3:52 am
When i download custom levels i put in the pic and mis. files but when i load it up all i see is the powerups, finish, e.t.c. but not the platforms! what do i do and what’s wrong?
May 5th, 2009 at 4:14 am
Some custom levels include custom interiors which have a file extension of .dif.
These belong in the marble/data/interiors folder of your game.
If that still doesn’t work, I’d recommend downloading the latest CLA (Custom Level Archive) which includes many of the custom interiors found in some levels.
Be sure to download the “Interiors – All of Them” package, which is the second one from the top.
You can get it here:
http://marbleblast.com/index.cgi?board=levelbuildingboard&action=display&thread=4169&page=1
Hope it helped,
Phil
May 6th, 2009 at 2:19 am
Thanks for the tip- i now have the interior, however, it is all white and there is no colour. i used the first way-and is there a way to fix this without resorting to downloading all the interiors?
May 7th, 2009 at 5:52 pm
Oh right, okay. Did the level come with any custom textures? (.jpg files)
May 8th, 2009 at 3:30 am
No- i only got a dif. png. and mis. i put the mis and png in the marble-data-missions-custom folder and the dif in the marble-data-interiors.
May 10th, 2009 at 5:56 pm
OK, if you have MBP version 1.10 or higher, you can move the interior that came with your level into the marble/data/interiors_mbg folder. Putting it in here means that it could have been created for Marble Blast Gold. That folder has and uses different textures.
Then you edit your .mis file in a text editing program, and search for “interiors/” and replace it with “interiors_mbg/”. Now try it and see if it works.
May 11th, 2009 at 1:24 am
thanks, that works. one last thing (sorry)- is there a quick way of changing ALL the interior names in the is. at once rather than one at a time?
May 12th, 2009 at 2:47 am
Yes, and it’s very easy
Hit Command-F if you’re using TextEdit on a Mac, or Ctrl-F if you’re using Notepad on a Windows PC. A Find and Replace window will appear.
In the “Find:” field type: “interiors/” (w/o the quotation marks)
And in the “Replace:” field type “interiors_mbg/”
Then just hit Replace All, and BOOM, you’re done
May 13th, 2009 at 3:07 am

The updated fixed it. Thanks!
May 30th, 2009 at 6:54 pm
I deleted the first post of yours because it was basically advertising. My answer to that post is no, I’m sorry.
This site already has an awesome theme, and it doesn’t need any changes.
May 31st, 2009 at 2:07 pm
Not to rush anything, but I was just wondering if there was a plan to make another version of MBP for mac.
June 1st, 2009 at 2:51 pm
OK,
June 2nd, 2009 at 3:03 am
hey, anyone know the answer to marbler 101′s question?
June 2nd, 2009 at 5:56 pm
He hasn’t commented in this post.
EDIT: Forgot to approve the comment.
You can’t download Marble Blast Fubar because it’s simply not released yet.
June 3rd, 2009 at 4:19 pm
why does it always say “Copy Failed” when i try to install even though i am sure the folder is the one with MBG Pc version
June 4th, 2009 at 5:48 am
Hey, is it possible you could add some more detail to that?
June 4th, 2009 at 9:42 pm
i put the folder that is named Marble Blast Gold and has all the MBG files in it when it tells me to put in directory location and then it installs fast… i look at the details and all copies attempted failed then when i run prefrence converter it just says “can’t locate marbleblast.exe” so i browse and find but when i click marble blast platinum shortcut MBG just loads and there is nothing different.
June 7th, 2009 at 9:35 pm
Do you NEED to use MBG?
Edit by admin – corrected post
June 8th, 2009 at 3:04 pm
no
June 9th, 2009 at 2:42 am
Hmm, are you absolutely sure you downloaded the right version? (you should have the 1.13a FULL VERSION)
Because if you downloaded the Windows 1.13a PATCH, then the installer is going to think you have MBP when you don’t have it installed – meaning you’ll get a ton of ‘Copy Failed’s.
I can’t think of anything that could possibly go wrong during installation, unless you’ve been messing around with your MBG’s files?
June 9th, 2009 at 5:16 pm
after trying it a few times i got MBP to install but i can’t play it…(it won’t startup) so i read the after installation instructions and i tried to copy and paste the files but i realized i didn’t have all of the files from ignition or non-ignition lists…. what do I do?
June 19th, 2009 at 2:54 pm
neon… try reinstalling mbp but dont download mbg with it…
June 19th, 2009 at 2:55 pm
ok ill try it
-Thanks!
June 19th, 2009 at 2:56 pm
try installing it without mbg neon
June 19th, 2009 at 2:56 pm
woops double posted
June 19th, 2009 at 9:57 pm
It’s be a LONG tile since there’s been any updates, posts or news on the Mac version 1.13.
July 8th, 2009 at 2:59 pm
i tried to install it on vista, but it shows up as a missing file what should i do????
July 8th, 2009 at 6:18 pm
Does the installer say what the missing file was?
July 8th, 2009 at 8:33 pm
no
July 11th, 2009 at 1:45 pm
Hi Phil,
We just had to replace our computer and put a fresh copy of MBG on it. We then tried to load MBP and had a problem similar to Carter; the installer log had a bunch of “skipped” and “copy failed” messages. Basically it looks like most of the files failed to load, and MBP is not showing up in the directory of applications. I’ve tried to install it several times with the same result each time.
BTW, this is SkyeBird’s dad. We really appreciate all the work you, Aaryl, et al., did to build her a level; it has been a high point for her. Hope we can get MBP up and running. Thanks.
James
July 14th, 2009 at 3:53 pm
i meant to say a missing shortcut when it completed installing th game
July 16th, 2009 at 7:02 pm
Hi James, I went to ask Matan your question since I wasn’t exactly part of the development of the MBP Installer for Windows. Here is his reply
”
James -
Glad to hear about SkyeBird, I hope she’s all well!
From the details of your problem it seems to me as you use Windows Vista, which has a tendency to cause such problems. To solve, take the installer file onto the desktop (or any other place, but do not use it from the .zip file), and then Right Click on the executable and press ‘Run As Administrator’. This will make the installer work properly. At the end of the installer you will notice a few ‘copy failed’ messages, which is perfectly fine, because the installer is used for both Ignition and Non-Ignition versions of Marble Blast, hence it attempts to look at both and any ‘copy failed’ messages just means that a certain version’s files do not exist.
If the problem persists, please let me know!
- Matan

July 17th, 2009 at 12:35 am
where do you download marble blast platinum except from Phil’sEmpire?
July 18th, 2009 at 6:06 pm
Matan (and Phil),
Thanks so much for your advice; we were able to get MBP loaded, and SkyeBird is having a great time with it. Kudos to you and everyone who had a hand in creating Platinum; it is very cool and a worthy successor to MBG!
Cheers,
James
July 18th, 2009 at 7:16 pm
@ parwez: The only place you can download MBP is at this website
Is there a problem being able to download from here?
@ James, that’s good to hear
In case you’re wondering how to access the Leaderboards, you currently can’t at the moment since a little maintenance is being done. It’ll definitely be available before the 1.14 patch.
December 11th, 2009 at 11:05 pm
Your help would be GREATLY appreciated….
I downloaded the patch on my mac, and I already have MBG (stupidly thinking that the patch would be the only thing I needed to download…?). however, the patch did terrible things to the game, and now all my times are gone, and the game itself won’t start up, and i can’t access any levels. when it does open, al these random squares saying “button” appear, and none of them are clickable. Is there any way to uninstall the patch? Please? We purchased the game online, so I don’t have CD to reinstall it.
